Iconic Hotel with a Unique Stained Glass Mural

Ramada Hotel opened in 1983. Located in what was a desert area on the outer edge of Dubai, 174 room Ramanda Hotel became popular with both visitors and local people.

Its Chinese and French Restaurants were unique for that area of Dubai.

By mid 2000s, Ramada Hotel was now in a suburb surrounded by modern buildings with almost no sign of the desert. It was also competing with modern hotels so decision made to demolish and rebuild.

Ramada;s Stained Glass Mural was said to have been saved and stored for sale but remains unsold.
